Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using GolfGroupHub (golfgrouphub.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and MegaCorp, Inc. ("MegaCorp," "we," "us," or "our"). They apply to all users of GolfGroupHub, including group administrators, event organizers, and individual golfers.

2. About GolfGroupHub

GolfGroupHub is a golf group management and scoring platform that enables golfers to:

  • Organize and manage golf groups
  • Log rounds, track scores, and view performance statistics
  • Organize and participate in events and tournaments
  • Enter and display handicap data for round and event management

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering a binding contract to use GolfGroupHub. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.

4. Accounts

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
  • You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating and updating your account
  • You may not share your account, transfer it to another person, or allow others to access it
  • Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account: support@golfgrouphub.com
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms

5. Handicap Data

GolfGroupHub allows you or your administrators to enter handicap information for round and event management purposes.

  • You are responsible for the accuracy of handicap information entered into the platform
  • Handicap data shown in GolfGroupHub is for organizational and scoring purposes within the platform
  • GolfGroupHub scores are not official handicap records with any governing body

6. Scoring and Statistics

Scores and statistics recorded through GolfGroupHub are for informational and social purposes within your golf group. They are not official competitive records unless you use an officially sanctioned competition system. MegaCorp is not liable for scoring errors, calculation differences, or disputes arising from scores entered on the platform.

7. Group Conduct

Group administrators have the authority to manage group membership, event settings, and group rules. As a group member, you agree to:

  • Interact respectfully with all other members
  • Report accurate scores and not manipulate scoring for personal advantage
  • Follow all rules and requirements set by group administrators
  • Not engage in harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior toward any user

MegaCorp may remove users who violate group conduct standards at its sole discretion, with or without prior notice.

8. Events

Event organizers are responsible for the accuracy of event settings, tee times, pairings, and results. MegaCorp provides the platform and tools but does not guarantee:

  • The accuracy of event logistics or scheduling
  • Specific outcomes or results
  • Resolution of scoring disputes (disputes should be resolved between organizers and participants)

Event participants agree to abide by the rules established by the event organizer.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use GolfGroupHub for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws
  • Harass, abuse, threaten, or harm other users
  • Post false, misleading, or deceptive content, including inaccurate scores
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, or data
  • Scrape, crawl, or programmatically access GolfGroupHub without our written permission
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the platform
  • Upload content that infringes any third-party intellectual property rights
  • Create multiple accounts or use the platform to impersonate another person

10. User Content

You retain ownership of content you submit to GolfGroupHub (e.g., profile photos, comments). By submitting content, you grant MegaCorp a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and display that content solely to operate and improve GolfGroupHub.

You represent that:

  • You own or have the necessary rights to all content you submit
  • Your content does not violate the rights of any third party
  • Your content does not violate these Terms or any applicable law

11. Privacy

Your use of GolfGroupHub is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using GolfGroupHub, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.

12. Subscriptions and Payments

GolfGroupHub may offer free and paid features. For paid plans:

  • Fees are charged in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annual, as selected at purchase)
  • All fees are in USD unless otherwise stated
  • Fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or as stated at the time of purchase
  • You may cancel a paid subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days' notice via email or in-app notification
  • Failure to maintain valid payment may result in downgrade to the free tier or suspension of access

13. Intellectual Property

GolfGroupHub and all associated software, designs, logos, and content are owned by MegaCorp, Inc. or licensed to us. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our proprietary materials without written permission.

"GolfGroupHub" and associated marks are trademarks of MegaCorp, Inc. Third-party trademarks referenced on the platform are property of their respective owners.

14. Third-Party Services

GolfGroupHub may link to or integrate with third-party services (e.g., payment processors). These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. MegaCorp is not responsible for the practices of third-party services.

15. Disclaimers

GolfGroupHub is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that:

  • The platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
  • Handicap calculations or statistics will be accurate or meet any official standard
  • Data will be preserved indefinitely

16. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MegaCorp shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of GolfGroupHub. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the greater of:

  • (a) the total fees you paid to MegaCorp in the 12 months preceding the claim; or
  • (b) $100

This limitation applies regardless of the form of action and whether MegaCorp has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

17. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless MegaCorp and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

  • Your use of GolfGroupHub
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights
  • Content you submit to the platform

18. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Binding Arbitration: Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or GolfGroupHub shall be resolved through binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), conducted on an individual basis. You waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action.

Exception: Either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent irreparable harm.

Opt-Out: You may opt out of the arbitration agreement by notifying us in writing within 30 days of first accepting these Terms at legal@megacorp.company.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of GolfGroupHub after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

20. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account and access to GolfGroupHub at any time for violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or at our discretion with reasonable notice. You may delete your account at any time from account settings. Sections 10, 13, 16, 17, and 18 survive termination.
